elpa-undo-tree software package provides Emacs minor mode for handling undo history as tree, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install elpa-undo-tree
elpa-undo-tree is installed in your system.
Make ensure the elpa-undo-tree package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep elpa-undo-tree *
You will get with elpa-undo-tree package name, version, architecture and description in a table
